100 Themes - Version 2.0
(Posting a prettier version of this on my journal at my dead, yet subscribed account =OrcaAmbition)
Started by *Aeyoqen so the info is from their journal!
"Okay, idea -
I'm going to take on the 100 themes BUT with a twist -
I'm going to do 100 songs.
So - start with a few songs (if you're like me, you're constantly finding new music) and pick one. Play it, on repeat, for x amount of time (however long you can stand) and while it's playing, draw, photograph, sculpt. Whatever comes to your head, whatever
that song inspires you, whatever you see. They don't have to be in any specific order, and even if what you see is something simple, illustrate it. Artists can be repeated, heck, do a whole album in one or multiple illustrations if you so desire! You can edit the
list as long as you haven't already illustrated the song - once it's done, it's done, even if you decide later you hate it. Make sure to tell what song it is in the description - maybe someone will discover a new band they love because of this!"
I personally am going to break it up into four rounds, so 25 songs for each round.
I've started off with two rounds - so 50 songs/photos.
The other 50 will be decided when the first 50 are done.
I busted out iTunes for this so all songs will be something I currently have on my laptop.
The names of the songs are links to a YouTube video that has either the music video, live cover, or sometimes merely the song with a slideshow.
Some of the live versions probably have better recorded versions that you can probably find on Project Playlist (.com).
